Vignemale is the highest point in the French Pyrenees and, probably, has the most impressive alpine wall in the entire range.
It’s north face offers an amazing 900m climb, a must do for a Pyrenean climber. The maximum grade is V, with large sections of scrambling, making from it one of the best climbs in the whole Pyrenees.
Program:
Day 1: Meeting in Cauterets (France) and approach to Oulettes hut. We will do some technical reminders during the evening.
Day 2: Climb. We will head to the wall very early, approach through the glacier and start to enjoy the first pitches. Way down by the normal route and return to the same hut to enjoy the views of the wall we just climbed!!
Day 3: Return to Cauterets, France
